Shruti Rana

Shruti Rana is Assistant Provost for Strategic Faculty Initiatives and Professor of Law at the University of Missouri. She has also held leadership and faculty roles at Indiana University and the University of Maryland. Her scholarship focuses on international law and global governance, with recent publications on women’s leadership in academia and the judiciary. Prior to joining academia, Rana practiced at Williams & Connolly LLP in DC and Quinn Emanuel in San Francisco, served as a Social Affairs Officer at the United Nations, and clerked for Judge James R. Browning at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  She is actively involved in her community, and was elected to the City Council in Bloomington, Indiana and currently serves on nonprofit and community boards.
