Who We Are & What We Do

NPWC Capitol Women is the mid-Missouri chapter of the National Women's Political Caucus (NWPC) and it is partially funded by the NWPC.

Founded in 1971, NWPC prides itself in increasing the number of pro-choice women elected and appointed to office every year. Through recruiting, training and financial donations, NWPC supports women candidates running for all levels of office regardless of political affiliation.

Mission

Capitol Women’s Political Caucus is a local chapter of NWPC in mid-Missouri that serves the counties of Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Miller, Moniteau, Osage and Randolph.

We strive to be a leader in the ERA and Pro-Choice movement in our area by providing voter education, candidate training, and financial support.

Vision

Like NWPC's Missouri chapter, our local chapter was founded to reach out to women in communities across mid-Missouri to better assist their dreams of being elected to office.

All of us, from Capitol Women to the national and state chapters, strive to break the glass ceiling restricting a woman's ability to climb the political ladder.

Values

We are progressive.

We are inclusive.

We are pro-choice.

We are multi-partisan.

We are grassroots.
